Susan Ballantyne has served as a school leader for over 20 years, with 14 of those years in international schools in Hungary, Ethiopia, and now here in Atyrau, Kazakhstan. As an educator, Susan has taught all levels and has a passion for leading and continued learning. According to Gallup StrengthsFinder, the strengths that guide Susan in her learning and leading journey are learner, discipline, achiever, relater, and includer. As a learner, Susan does not shy away from tough situations--she is bold and courageous and naturally takes on new challenges. As a disciplined person, Susan aims for excellence in all that she does. As an achiever, she is hardwired to pursue goals until they are reached, and as a relater/includer, Susan aims to welcome others onto her team through asking in-depth questions and listening to their ideas and opinions. Susan has a master’s degree in Administration, along with an MEd in Elementary and Middle School Education from the University of Great Falls.
